In the summer of 2024 AlBeRo collected water samples in areas of concern around the two lakes. These samples were taken after a very significant rainfall. It is therefore to be expected that the concentrations of phosphorus and bacteria were higher than in previous years. The main source of pollution remains the agricultural operations at the north end of Beaven Lake. However these fields are currently empty as the farm is changing hands.
